Carolann Stoney, ASLA, Featured in the Prestigious Cambridge Who's Who Registry
Carolann Stoney's film, "Women in the Dirt, Landscape Architects Shaping Our World," was showcased at film festivals
CLAREMONT, CA, May 26, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Carolann Stoney, ASLA, Filmmaker at Wind Media Productions, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in media production.
An artist with a huge appreciation for the role that landscape architects play in daily life, Ms. Stoney has worked as a filmmaker for Wind Media Productions for two years. She created the film "Women in the Dirt, Landscape Architects Shaping Our World," which features seven pioneers of the industry. Ms. Stoney's film has been recognized amongst her peers and was showcased at film festivals in March. In her position, she is responsible for overseeing the creative & production processes.
Ms. Stoney holds a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from California Polytechnic State University Pomona. In 2009, she was honored with a student film recognition by the American Society of Landscape Architecture. She is a member of Women in Film and American Professional Landscape Designers and a lifetime member of the Mediterranean Garden Society based in Athens, Greece. Additionally, she is a supporter of the Santa Ana Botanical Garden, Pacific Horticulture and California Native Plant Society. In the future, Ms. Stoney plans to produce a series of films depicting assorted sustainable gardens in various climates throughout the United States and Europe.
