Vintage movie fans may be intrigued by a new exhibition of work relating to the filmmaker Federico Fellini in Madrid, entitled Circus of Illusions.

MADRID, SPAIN, August 10, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The auteur is responsible for one of Italy's most famous films in La Dolce Vita, but he also made a whole host of important flicks in the country's cinematic canon, such as Roma, Satyricon, 8 1/2 and Amacord.

Circus of Illusions gives guests at Madrid hotels the opportunity to explore the filmmaker's character from four different angles, with the organisers choosing to ignore the conventional chronological format in favour of a thematic approach, which aims to add context to this iconic character's life and work.

These four sections of the exhibition are: his relationship to mainstream culture, the women in his movies, the concept of biographical invention and - naturally - his cinematographic creations.

"The iconography and the vital obsessions of the Italian filmmaker Federico Fellini are revealed through an exhibit of photographs, drawings and unseen film footage," explained the venue.

Anyone keen on seeing this intriguing display should head down to CaixaForum Madrid, which can be reached by bus or by taking the Metro to Atocha.

It is available to view free of charge until December 26th 2010, with the venue staying open every day from 10:00 to 20:00 local time.
