Galway Film Fleadh Announces 2010 Winners
The Runaway , The Pipe take top film honors at Galway
GALWAY, IRELAND, July 14, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Chairperson of the Board of the Galway Film Fleadh Kate O'Toole took the stage on Sunday, July 13, 2010 at the Town Hall Theatre in Galway Ireland for the closing night Awards Ceremony to announce the winning Films, documentaries and shorts of the 22nd Galway Film Fleadh. Winners were selected among the 100 feature films, 115 shorts films, eight World Premiers and 53 Irish Premieres during the six-day Fleadh.
This year's jurists included Kathleen McInnis (Palm Springs International Festival of Shorts )Cian Smyth (Belfast Film Festival)and Gaelle Vidalie(Quinzaine des Realisateurs - Director's Fortnight) selecting best dramatic shorts; John Nein (Sundance Film Festival), David Wilkinson (Guerilla Films) and Paul Young (Cartoon Saloon) choosing the animation short award winners and selecting the best in this year's Documentary shorts were producer Ben Barenholtz, Mary McGlinchey(Northern Ireland Screen) and Hussain Currimbhoy (Sheffield Doc/Fest).
Galway Film Fleadh audiences vote for The Best Irish Feature Award, The Best Feature Documentary and The Best First Feature Awards

Lelia Doolan received the Fleadh's highest honor The Galway Hooker Award.
