LateRooms.com - Enjoy Rebels in Turin
Footage from One-eyed Jacks and Zorba the Greek will be on show in Turin at the Museo Nazionale del Cinema.
TURIN, ITALY, June 16, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Film buffs heading to Turin hotels this summer may wish to stop off at the Museo Nazionale del Cinema to check out Rebels.
This exhibition features a series of images from the collection of Sam Shaw, including photographs of perhaps the most famous rebel of them all - Marlon Brando.
Sam Shaw is a legendary photographer who has worked with the likes of Paul Newman and John Casevettes, as well as creating one of the most iconic celebrity pictures of the past century, of Marilyn Monroe holding her dress down over a subway grate.
According to his website, he often preferred to work without make-up or poses and just wanted his models to have fun.
This exhibition sees photographs from the sets of the Marlon Brando-directed One-eyed Jacks and Michael Cacoyannis' Zorba the Greek, both of which were made in the 1960s.
Marlon Brando, who is celebrated for his roles in such movies as A Streetcar Named Desire, On the Waterfront and The Godfather, also starred in One-eyed Jacks - the only film he ever directed.
The exhibition is running from June 17th until September 19th and costs EUR7 (GBP5.75) to enter.
It is open from 09:00 (local time) every day - except Monday when it is closed - and shuts at 20:00 on weekdays and Sundays, and 23:00 on Saturdays.
For more information on this event visit the Museo Nazionale del Cinema website or contact the venue on +39 011 2178 540.
To make the most of Rebels - you should consider booking your hotel Torino to avoid disappointment.
