AsiaRooms.com - Don't Forget the Popcorn for Thailand's Samui Film Festival
The annual Samui Film Festival will take place in Koh Samui at the start of August.
KOH SAMUI, THAILAND, June 26, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Movie lovers who are planning a stay in Koh Samui hotels at the start of August should make sure they pay a trip to the Samui Film Festival.
Having premiered to much critical acclaim last year, the three-day event is set to return between August 6th and 8th 2010 at the Tamarind Springs Forest Spa near the town of Lamai.
Although the full programme for the festival has yet to be announced, a number of the movies which have been hand-picked by the organisers to be screened at the event have been unveiled.
Among these are the likes of All In This Tea, a feature documentary that follows the journey of leading American tea importer David Lee Hoffman as he travels around China looking for some of the world's finest hand-made samples.
No Impact Man, in which a US liberal lives without electricity and stops making waste for an entire year, can also be watched by people staying in Thailand hotels.
Tickets cannot be purchased for screenings of individual films but are instead sold on a per-evening basis, with a one-day ticket costing just 400 Thai baht (GBP8.30).
Alternatively, those who are planning to attend more than one night can pick up a pass allowing access to all three evenings for 900 Thai baht.
For more information on this event visit the Samui Film Festival website or contact the venue on +66 83 393 90 21.
