Movie-lovers planning to visit Phuket should ensure their trip coincides with the resort's film festival.
PHUKET, THAILAND, May 13, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Movie fans from all over the world will be booking into Phuket hotels next month for the city's film festival.
Running from June 4th to 13th, it promises to showcase a host of movies from local talent as well as other countries around the world.
Among the highlights for cinema-goers are the Thailand premiere of Bay Rong (Clash) - a Vietnamese action flick - and the Asian premiere of the English-language film Do Elephants Pray?.
In addition to the range of films, documentaries and short movies to be shown during the course of the festival, anyone staying in Thailand hotels who heads to Phuket may find that other events - such as the Gala Opening - could keep them entertained.
Tickets for the movie screenings start from 120 Thai baht (GBP2.51), with a full festival pass available for 3,800 Thai baht.
All of the films will be shown at the Coliseum Cineplex theatres in Phuket Town, with a detailed list of screenings available from the venue or official website.
Other screenings set to entertain audiences during the ten-day event include the documentary Kepulihan: Stories from the Tsunami and Princes et Princesses - part of the classic French film series at the festival.
