StudentApt.com Announces Roommate Horror Stories Video Contest
Apartment search Web site creates Video Contest for Gen Y

ATLANTA, GA, July 12, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- StudentApt.com, an apartment rental Web site that is custom-tailored to help students, alumni, faculty and staff of colleges and universities find apartments for rent, today announced a Roommate Horror Stories Video Contest. The contest --like StudentApt's Web site-- is geared specifically towards Generation Y, but is open to anyone over age 18. The concept is simple: tell a compelling story, in 90 seconds or less, of a difficult, but hopefully amusing, roommate experience with an original video.

"Since we are the resource for helping students and Gen Y find off-campus housing, we have heard a lot of horrifying, but hilarious roommate stories, particularly from college freshman and we want to provide an avenue for these stories to be shared," said David Poku, president StudentApt.com. "We can all enjoy a good laugh about an awkward roommate experience."

Three winners will be selected at the end of the contest based on the creativity and production value of the video, relevance to the contest's theme, and inclusion of StudentApt.com's URL in the video submission. The first prize winner will receive a $200 Amazon or Apple gift card, the 2nd prize winner will receive a $100 Amazon or Apple gift card, and the 3rd prize winner will receive a $50 Amazon or Apple gift card. StudentApt's free apartment search service will also be made available to all winners to help them find the perfect apartment (roommate screening not included).
