Mexican Gangster, To Be Released on DVD Nationally from Amadeus Pictures Co-starring Young Mexican American Star Ricco Chapa
Mexican American star Ricco Chapa stars in new feature film release by Amadeus Pictures and Navarre Corp. The Film shall be on DVD nationwide February 10th. Ricco Chapa the star of Mexican Gangster is the son of Damian Chapa who wrote and directed the film. It is Ricco's fourth film.

LOS ANGELES, CA, February 06, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- (LMS)-On February10th, the explosive motion picture "Mexican Gangster" hits shelves on DVD nationwide. The film stars Damian Chapa (Blood in Blood Out) and co-stars his son Ricco Chapa (Man of Faith) and Christine Manoukian and Thomas Druihlet.

Story: Johnny Sun, born in a Mexican American Ghetto to a white mother and Mexican father, witnesses his parents slaying as a youth. At only 8 years old he takes revenge on the man who killed his mother. Johnny grows up hard as a gangster from drugs to smuggling. As he gets older he realizes that it's not the life he wants for his little brother. Johnny tries to change but it's too late. All the other gangs want him dead thinking he's turned. He has to fight to the end to prove he is still a Mexican Gangster.

Damian Chapa is best known for his roles in Taylor Hackford's "Blood in Blood Out" along with "Street Fighter", "Under Siege" and "Money Talks". More recently Damian has starred and directed the controversial film "Polanski Unauthorized", a bio-pic about Roman Polanski's life.

Ricco Chapa, at just 18, has inherited the acting talent from his father and has already worked with the likes of Faye Dunaway, Robert Wagner, Jennifer Tilly and "Lord of the Rings" Brad Dourif, as well as appearing in V2 with Joanna Pacula. Ricco plans on following in his fathers footsteps and aspires to one day be a director in his own right.

With natural good looks and a subtle acting style, Ricco Chapa, an up and coming Mexican American actor, is one to look out for.

"Mexican Gangster" is being released on DVD to all major outlets including Blockbuster, Wal-Mart, Best Buy and Amazon.com DVD. It is being released and distributed nationally by Navvare Pictures Corporation in association with Amadeus Pictures.
